New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys wrestling team advanced seven wrestlers to the finals and had five individual champions Saturday to win the Hoosier Heritage Conference championship at New Castle. The Dragons scored 258.5 points, beating New Castle (189), Delta (187.5) and the rest of the field. Winning HHC titles were Gunner Butt (150), Gabe Flick (170), Isaiah Jones (190), Colin Whetsel (215) and William Glesing (285). Two other Dragons - Blake Doss (113) and Braeden Lintner (138) advanced to the finals and finished second. Thirteen of the 14 Dragons placed. Finishing third were Wes Harbert (120), King Tavorn (132), Emmit Abernathy (144), Ryker Yonts (157) and Carson Clements (165). Kaeden Nelson (126) placed fifth.
