New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys golf team beat Mt. Vernon 149-166, with the Dragons winning in a match play format 4-2 over the Marauders Monday at Hawk's Tail. The victory allowed the Dragons to maintain possession of the traveling persimmon wood trophy contested between the two schools. The Dragons were led by medalist Jackson Clark, who shot a one-under par 35. Luke Cofer added an even-par 36 and Will Clark a 38. Jace Gaines shot 40 for the Dragons. The Dragons are next in action Wednesday in the Hancock County meet at Hawk's Tail.
