The New Palestine boys tennis team won its sixth straight match Tuesday, beating visiting Waldron 4-1 in another contest that featured the Dragons winning several tight individual matches. Carson Rush had a comfortable 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles. Brady Groce/Davis Harrison also had a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles. Th eother matches were tight. Tyler Walter had to go deep into a tiebreaker in the first set before winning 7-6(7), 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Brock Hehmann pulled out a 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles. The lone loss came at No. 1 doubles, where Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison dropped a tight 7-6(5), 6-2 contest. The Dragons JV won 5-0. Blake Wilson, Braedyn Shaffer, Sean Pearson, Gavin Berry/Jacob Kleine and Sam Busby/Ian Uhl all won, dropping only two games in the process. The Dragons are now 8-1 on the season. They next play Friday and Saturday in the Silver Creek Invitational.
