New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys tennis team won its eighth straight match Tuesday, beating host Eastern Hancock 4-1. All four of the Dragons' wins came in straight sets. Tyler Walter won 6-2, 6-1 and Brock Hehmann won 6-0, 6-1 at singles. Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Brady Groce/Jack Hehmann won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles. Carson Rush dropped a tight 7-5, 1-6, 12-10 super-tiebreaker at No. 1 singles. The Dragons are now 9-1 on the season. They next play Wednesday at home against Lawrence Central. The Dragons JV won 4-1. Braedyn Shaffer, Ian Uhl, Gavin Berry/Jacob Kleine and Sam Busby/Cooper Harman all won for the Dragons.
