New Palestine High School

The New Palestine volleyball team kept coming back - all the way to match point Monday - but they dropped a 25-15, 22-25, 26-24, 18-25, 17-15 home match to Franklin Central. The Dragons had set points in both the third and fifth sets, but FC was able to save the point and go on an end-of-set run to win. In the fifth set, the Dragons rallied from deficits of 5-0 and 8-2 to take a 14-13 lead, before FC tied the match. The Dragons tied it up at 15-all, but FC scored the last two points to win. Elena Cook had 12 kills, six blocks and two aces. Adelynn Crispin tallied 11 kills and nine digs. Cara Steele had nine kills. Caylee Brown had eight kills and five blocks. Kennedy Armstrong had 22 assists and eight digs. Brileigh Tincher had 10 assists and six digs. Emmi Robinson led the defense with 17 digs and two aces. Haven Flagle had four aces and nine digs. Ella Moeller tallied three aces and two blocks. The Dragons are now 24-2 on the season. They next play Tuesday at home against Yorktown.
