New Palestine High School

The New Palestine volleyball team finished the regular season Saturday with the championship of the Pike Invitational. The Dragons opened the day in the four-team tournament with a 25-7, 25-15, 25-14 victory over Ben Davis. In the championship match, they rallied to beat the host Red Devils 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-18. The title was the third Saturday invitational championship won by a Dragons team this year in four tries. The Dragons also won the New Palestine and Richmond invitationals. The Dragons finish the regular season with a 25-4 record. They open sectional play at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Yorktown against Greenfield-Central.
