New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls golf team tied for the county title with a score of 178, but finished second on a tiebreaker Tuesday at Hawk's Tail. The Dragons and Mt. Vernon were tied at 178, but the Marauders won on the fifth score. Greenfield-Central (194) was third and Eastern Hancock (221) fourth. Lauren Deering shot 39 and finished second overall. Katie Kelley's 42 was third overall. Matti Tiede-White's 47 was tied for fifth overall. Tessa Mohr added a 50 and Carlee Poorbaugh a 55. The Dragons are next in action Thursday at The Links against Cathedral.
