Tennis bests Arabians

The New Palestine boys tennis team won a tight 4-1 match Monday at Pendleton Heights. Two of the matches went to three sets, and another was decided in a second-set tiebreaker. Carson Rush won 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Tyler Walter won a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 2 to be the first off the court. At No. 3 singles, Brock Hehmann won a 6-4, 7-6(3) match. Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison had another three-set victory at No. 2 doubles, rallying for a 1-6, 6-0, 6-3 win. At No. 1 doubles, Luke Bartusek/Gavin Berry fell 6-1, 3-6, 6-1. The Dragons are now 8-7 on the season and 3-2 in HHC play. The Dragons JV won 3-2, with Jack Hehmann, J.P. Peterson/Jacob Kleine and James Perry/Brady Groce all winning. The Dragons are next in action Wednesday at New Castle.
