New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys tennis team posted a 4-1 road victory Wednesday over New Castle. The Dragons improved to 9-7 on the year and 4-2 in HHC play. Carson Rush won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Brock Hehmann went to three sets at No. 3, splitting the first two 3-6, 6-1. He was tied at 2-2 in the third set when he won by default. The Dragons swept the doubles. Luke Bartusek/Gavin Berry won 6-1, 6-1, while Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison won 6-3, 6-0. Tyler Walter fell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. The Dragons JV won 5-0. Jack Hehmann, Jace Gaines, Sean Pearson, J.P. Peterson/Jacob Kleine and James Perry/Brady Groce all won. The Dragons are next in action Thursday at home against Triton Central.
