Volleyball continues winning ways, downs PH

The New Palestine girls volleyball team improved to 3-0 in Hoosier Heritage Conference play Thursday, beating host Pendleton Heights 25-14, 22-25, 25-17, 25-13. The Dragons have now won nine straight matches and are 14-2 on the season. Two Dragons had double-doubles. Sam Gooding tallied a career-high 17 digs to go along with 34 assists. She also had four kills and two aces. Natalie Sevier had her third straight double-double with 13 kills, 10 digs and two aces. On the back line, Kennedy Armstrong had a career-high 24 digs and two aces. Azure Flagle added 11 digs and four assists. Adelynn Crispin had six digs and three aces. Up front, Hayden Ramsey tallied nine kills and two aces. Caylee Brown and Cara Steele also each had nine kills. Elena Cook tallied three kills and two blocks. The Dragons are next in action Monday at home against Mooresville.
